MLB Money Line Betting

Money Line betting is probably the most common type of betting done on MLB baseball. Money Line betting is very simple to understand, as it is simply placing a bet on which team you think will win the game.

What makes MLB money line betting even more simple is that there is no such thing as a tie in baseball, so either the team will win or they will lose.

Unlike run line betting, when you place a bet on a team on the money line they will only need to win the game, and by how many runs they do so by will not matter.

Here is an example of what an MLB Money Line would look like:

New York Yankees (+120)
@ Boston Red Sox (-140)

It is then as simple as looking at the betting odds placed beside each team, and choosing who you think will win the game. In our example if you chose the New York Yankees on the Money Line it would pay out +120 odds if they win the game, if you were to chose the Boston Red Sox on the Money Line it would pay out -140 odds if they win the game.

If you are unsure how to read betting odds you can learn by reading the MLB Betting Odds guide.

Although MLB Run Line Betting betting is becoming more popular with MLB bettors, the Money Line betting will most likely always be the most popular type of MLB betting done, especially with casual sports bettors.

Baseball is a tough sport to bet on, but with the 162 game schedule you can pick your spots to bet on teams on the money line that have good value. If you search for value in money line odds and are patient you can be very profitable over the long MLB season.

There isn't much to MLB Money Line Betting, but now that you know how it works you can start placing your MLB bets at Bodog.com!
